Guestbook Alternatives
Recently it has been brought to my attention that what are couples suppose to do for a guest book if they are only having a small wedding? They don't need to buy a guest book and only have a few pages filled out in it, this is where I gave this some much needed thought. Here are some of the ideas I found:
Guest Book Poster

-Find a poster of some special significance or a photo of the two of you surrounded by a large matting that your guest can sign. Great piece for after the wedding to hang up in your home.
Personal Card Guestbook

-Place some simple cards (that match your theme) and pens on the table with a sign saying, "In lieu of a guestbook please select a card and share your thoughts, wishes, and advice. Place in an envelope for the Bride and Groom to save for a rainy day."
Wishing Tree

-Make tags with ribbons that guests can write a message on and then can hang them from the tree branch. After the wedding, take the tags and place them on a scrapbook page.
There are many other ideas and these are just some of the ones that stood out to me. If you are doing something different than the usually guest book we would love to see it!

It is important to make a list of everything you can think you will need for the wedding/event. Not sure of what all you need? Tenoroc High School Prom Photos
Update: Tenoroc High School Prom Photos
Events by Joann was chosen to decorate the Marriott World Center in Orlando, FL for Tenoroc's Prom. The theme of the prom was Paris.
The Marriott World Center is filled with grand ballrooms and here is a picture of the room before we set up.
The room had 6 small cocktail tables lined around the dance floor, set up with a simple black tablecloth and simple floral arrangement to have the feeling of a French corner bistro.
There was 10 large tables covered in our champagne ribbon taffeta overlays. The centerpieces were three various size glass vases with elegant ribbon wrapped around each of them. Two of the glass vases were filled with water and floating candle.
The stage was not forgotten in the set up. On each side of the stage we added two lighted black towers that would glow as they danced the night away.
The Paris theme would not be complete if we did not have an Eiffel Tower.
All that is left to do is light the candles, dim the lights, turn the music on, and dance the night away!
