If you missed the show.. check this out!

If you were living under a rock and missed the Fall PC Bridal Exhibit then I have put together some photos and slideshow to see what you missed out on.

This Fall show was quite a success, lots of brides came and enjoyed themselves getting to know a ton of local vendors that were there providing great information as well as giving out some amazing prizes.

For starters, I have to share with you are amazing booth setup. We went with the whole fall theme.

We had a tv set up playing a slideshow for some of our past events.

The main table was set up like a fall wedding/party with gold charger place settings. Each place setting showed off our new custom wedding favors that are available for any theme for $3 each. We can make how ever many quantities are needed.

Want to see more photos of our booth or the rest of the show. Check out the video below.

Remember to follow the blog so you don't miss the next show!
Thanks

Got the Bling... Now What? Part 2

Part 2

Identify your wedding style

I know what you are thinking, you think you should select a date first. Wrong! You need to figure out your wedding style and the event's tone, and other decisions will fall into place. Knowing what style, will help you figure out when the best date is.

  • If Cinderella's you dream fairy tale when you picture your fantasy wedding, you're a traditionalist. Think cathedral train, 10 piece ensemble, chandelier lit ballroom, filet mignon, flowing champagne, and the towering tier fondant covered cake.

  • You absolutely love outdoor get togethers and impromptu everything. Chances are you're a casual gal who'd take to a beach reception wearing a simple slip dress and flip-flops, with a sensational sunset providing the decor. Or maybe a barn or backyard barbecue, with great music and casual lighting.

  • Couples who get a new wardrobe or car every season might favor a hot new restaurant, a loft, even a architect's studio for their reception, paying as much attention to their table design as to their attire. No surf and turf for this couple.

Any of these wedding styles can be achieved with any budget.
Stay turned for Part 3.

"Got the Bling...Now what?" Part 1

Part 1

What to do right away:

* Spread the big news. After telling your immediate families and best friends, let your boss, colleagues, and other friends in on the good news. One easy way of spreading the news fast is using a social media network such as, Facebook and Twitter.

*Get your engagement ring sized (if needed). Depending on the setting and finish, this can take from a few hours to a few days. The sooner you get this done, the more time you will have to show it off with confidence knowing that it fits just right.

* Buy some sort of planner, this can be one of those wedding organizer books or just a simple binder that you can use to store all the upcoming information and details of your special day. This is also important to have when meeting with your wedding planner because all the information they will need will be right at your finger tips.

What Can Wait:

* Choosing your colors, securing your site is way more important than what colors you want to decorate with. After you have chosen your venue site then you can think of colors.

*Picking your attendants: no need to rush anyone into service the day after the proposal. Get the big picture of your wedding nailed down before you put together your bridal party.

*Arranging the seating chart: Hello you have plenty of time to do this. You can wait till even a few weeks before the wedding to tackle this. You need to wait till you have a more accurate head count.

Where have I been?

Sorry for the lack of new posts. I have been crazy busy. As many of you may not know, I am almost 7 months pregnant and I never knew how much energy it would take out of me to carry this precious little one inside of me. She has made my nights and days mixed up and through out the day I am just plain exhausted. It's tough work carrying a future Events by Joann coordinator. Even though I have not been posting as much, does not mean I have not been working on tons of ideas for the blog.

I am starting a new blog post series on "Got the Bling, but Now what?"
I hear many brides that don't even know where to start with the wedding planning process. Here at Events by Joann we can help relieve lots of your stress on the planning process. I will try to address all the things that most brides forget about.
The first post of this series will begin tomorrow, so be on the look out for it!
For fun, what do you think I am going to say is the first thing you need to do once you get the bling?

Will you be.....?

So how were you asked to be a part of someone's special day? Did they just call you and ask, sent you a text, or did they do one of these creative ideas????

Will you be my...maid of honor/bridesmaid/flower girl card:
There are tons of cute premade cards available, but if you are feeling creative go for it and make your own. It will just add to the personal touch!

Video/DVD Proposal:
Okay, so the bride had a proposal so why not her bridesmaids. Some brides are creating a special video asking their friend/family to be part of their special day and then burning it to a dvd. They then send the dvd to the person and wait for their answer... (This is great for those how live out of town, so they feel that you are right there asking them!)

Those are just two cute ideas that you could use to ask your girls to be part of your special day!
Share with me how you were asked....
